No room in the green house and jobs to do meant a little bit of creative thinking. My target was the log store as its not in use in the summer and already converted from a bookcase. Tight on space in the garden, the plan was hatched as its the exactly the right height for a counter-top. It’s two abandoned shelves were ripe for a bit of recycling too. So this was my plan…

I used stuff that was hanging about to keep the cost down. The only thing I bought were the metal brackets (approx £2.60-£2.99). I got a pair of larger brackets for the  main counter-top shelf and small for the top shelf. The best bit was ‘dressing’ the potting bench once I had finished. I used a  vintage pediment carving from an old wardrobe, shells, pots that could hang from the back slats, an old chopping board to work on. Best of all was the bunting. I cant stop smiling at the bunting!
